Excellence is more than a value. It’s a business strategy.

Buffini Leadership Conference gives real estate leaders two focused days to step out of the weeds, define a standard of excellence for their business, and make the decisions needed for sustainable growth.

Growth changes your role

Success in production is not the same as success in leadership. These two days will help you develop the skills to lead a team, shape a culture, deliver a consistent client experience, and scale profitably.

Come to make decisions, not just take notes

Across two full days of working sessions, six accomplished speakers will challenge you to make key decisions that shape how you lead.

Set the direction

Define where your business is going and what must change to get there. Brian Buffini, chairman and founder of Buffini & Company, will share lessons from more than 30 years of leading a successful business through changing markets.

Raise the standard

Set a clear standard of excellence your team can deliver consistently. Horst Schulze, co-founder of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, will show you how to make exceptional service an everyday practice.

Protect the profit

Turn increased production into increased profit. Mike Michalowicz, creator of Profit First, will help you rethink profit and put a practical system in place to protect it.

Clear the clutter

Cut work that consumes time without creating meaningful results. Juliet Funt, author of A Minute to Think, will explain the Four Thieves of Time and show you how to protect your calendar, create space to think, and lead more effectively.

Turn ideas into action

Move from good ideas to decisions and systems that change how your business operates. Podcast host and Buffini Chief Ambassador Ethan Beute will lead a panel of Buffini leadership coaches and Members examining today’s team and brokerage models to discover what drives agent productivity.

Develop your people

Coach your people instead of supplying every answer. Master Coach Valorie Burton will show you how to ask better questions, navigate change, and build the trust that helps teams perform at their best.

Horst Schulze

Co-founder of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company

Horst Schulze co-founded Ritz-Carlton and wrote the operating standard the hospitality industry still runs on.

Schulze’s career began more than 65 years ago as a server’s assistant in a German resort town. He worked for both Hilton Hotels and Hyatt Hotels Corporation before becoming one of the founding members of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1983, where he created the operating and service standards that became the industry benchmark.

As president and COO, Schulze ran $2 billion in operations worldwide. Under his leadership, Ritz-Carlton won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award twice, the only hotel company ever to win even one.

In 1991, HOTELS magazine named Schulze “corporate hotelier of the world.” In 1995, he received the Ishikawa Medal for his contributions to the quality movement. In 1999, Johnson & Wales University awarded him an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree in hospitality management.

Schulze has since been named a “Leader in Luxury” by Travel Agent magazine and its sister publication, Luxury Travel Advisor.

After leaving Ritz-Carlton, Schulze founded The Capella Hotel Group, where he managed some of the world’s most exclusive properties and continued to define the luxury hotel industry. Today, he serves on several boards, consults across industries, and recently completed a new book on building a culture of excellence.
